I believe we create acquired property asset records at the earliest opportunity, marking the records as inactive and using a user defined check box to mark the record as ‘proto’ until we complete the transaction.

We do not populate ‘usage’ at building level as we do not have a need for that data. Do you have a use for collecting and maintaining that data field?

In reply to: Amanda Cadden posted an update in the group TF User Community In Lease outs, how do TF clients use the ‘Holding Over until’ field? We have a difference of opinion as to whether that should be a reflection of the […] View

As I understand it when a lease is holding over ; that can happen theoretically into perpetuity so technically the date should be blank…. but in reality, we find it helpful to put a review date (normally the end of the financial year 31.03.XX) into the holding over date and this triggers the Estates dept to review all holding over leases at the yr end.

Hi Veronica, I think the original poster is talking about a system upgrade, not a dataload.

Whilst it is great in theory that you deploy a new tf cloud release every two weeks, you need to afford the appropriate resource to UAT thoroughly. Unfortunately we have also found new issues introduced following the latest upgrade which were not mentioned in the release notes. We may take a more risk averse approach to releases and go for them on…[Read more]

    Alison,

We don’t actually have a data field called ‘Committee’ in the area you have described. We do have ‘Managing Service’ which I think is probably the same data field to which you are referring but was renamed for us.

Unless you raise an enhancement to get TF to introduce a hierarchy, I guess you would have to squeeze the hierarchy into one…[Read more]

Also, can you explain which organization you work for; your profile says CMBC. Thanks.

Sorry Anton, I was not even aware that the Contract Users cannot even see the Private option!

We are about to set our contractors up shortly for Helpdesk and Inspections for the first time and so I think this might prove to be a problem for us.

I think your idea sounds like a sensible one.

Alison – are you referring to tf cloud or tf facility ? If so, can you provide a bit more detail about where in the system you are talking about?

Tom, it does seem a bit like a sledgehammer to crack a nut approach to default all notes and documents to private on the basis that I would expect 9 out 10 to be ‘public’.

Certainly for us that is the case but I accept we may not be typical and that you would need to look at all clients and how often Private notes and documents occur.

    If it…[Read more]
